thedotgoodは独立したメディア組織です。2012年から毎年「世界のトップNGOランキング(World Top 200 SGOs)」を公開しています。
最近は、NGO（非政府組織）でなくSGO (Social Good Organization、ソーシャルグッド組織)というそうです。
ランキングの評価軸はこちらです。

日本でも有名な団体では、「国境なき医師団」、「アショカ」がランクインしています。TOP10の顔ぶれは2021年と変わりなく、順位は変動があります。

日本では活動していないので、BRACという団体は初めて目にした方も多いのではないでしょうか。
BRACは、バングラデシュ発祥のNGOです。1972年にバングラデシュ独立戦争後の荒んだ状況でプァズレ・ハサン・アベッドが創設しました。

- 活動地：アフガニスタン、バングラデシュ、リベリア、ミャンマー、ネパール、フィリピン、ルワンダ、シエラレオネ、南スーダン、タンザニア、ウガンダ
- 活動分野：保健医療、経済的エンパワメント、教育、ジェンダー問題、コミュニティづくり、緊急援助、子ども&青年支援、マイクロファイナンス、法と公正、衛生、水、難民シェルター
- 収入：89,853,613,043タカ (2019年, 約1,104億円, 1タカ=1.23円換算)
